Meet Ella
Art by Ella
Ella started showing her artistic abilities at a very early age. After watching her sister draw pictures from comic books at age 4, her creative abilities started blossoming afterward. In grade school, Ella was rewarded first place in a Red Cross contest in which it took her only 30 minutes to create. This was her first masterpiece. She was hesitant in submitting this painting because she did not spend much time with it. The one she spent days perfecting, only received an honorable mention.

Ella graduated from Antelope Valley College earning an AA in Art in Palmdale, California. She received many ribbons and a scholarship for sculpture and Photography. Ella sat under a Japanese instructor in Tokyo where she was taught techniques in oil. Ella, who was a Still Photographer in the US Air Force says that is where she obtained proficiency in both field and lab work.

Having been active in the military gave her great opportunities to expand her horizons and develop her artistic abilities. She was selected Director of the Art Exhibits for Black History month. Ella worked harmoniously, with a staff of 10 people. In which, over 200 participants displayed their talents to the public. This was a huge success for Ella because there were over 5,000 attendees.

In the past, she has been active in making many backdrops and large murals for various churches. In addition, designing sets, props, costumes, upholstering, banners, etc. has given her a great spiritual uplift. She was commissioned to design weddings, design sets, and make backdrops for Jr. High Proms.

After a long interval of raising 4 children, Ella re-entered the art field. Presently, Ella has displayed her works in several locations wherever she could in California, Arizona and Nevada. Ella's mission is that her works be a blessing to the world and give God all the glory.
